Hailey

My little Hailey, who is not so little any more, seems to be growing up so fast. She is a good little helper around the house....most of the time. I love it when she plays with Wesley and Lindsey without me asking her to and when she says something nice to Brayden....I'll take anything!

We tried to take family pictures, but it was just not working that day. I got some cute ones of Hailey though....she's pretty easy to get cute pictures of.

I think I got this one twice....oh well, it's cute!

Just hanging out

We were just outside enjoying a nice fall afternoon and the kids were just being crazy cute so we had to snap a picture or two.... or twenty. I think we were actually waiting for Hailey to get home from activity days, so no pictures of Hailey. I'll get her in another post.

Wes wouldn't get in the picture with them, but kept photo-bombing my shot...but how can I be frustrated with such a cute little face sneeking in.

And again...this time with kissy lips!

Then he got sad because I asked him to stop and get in the picture with the others...oh so sad.

A few more of the kiddos.

And one more photo-bomb...compliments of Wes.

Lindsey got him....

How cute are they?

And Wes is done having fun....."seriously mom, that's enough!"

What the kids did when I wasn't looking

Oops! Atleast it was just make up and not a marker. Lindsey was very proud of her work.

They thought they made good little monsters....they don't need make up for that!

Oh good times!

Happy Halloween!

Another Halloween has appeared...time goes to fast I swear. We had great weather this year. We went to a trick or treat village in the Ranches. It was local businesses who had set up booths to get their info out there. The kids had fun getting candy at each booth. We also went around our neighborhood the next night and loaded up on a stash of candy. Wesley was actually really into it this year...last year he wanted to stop and eat candy at each stop and this year he wanted to get to the next house to get more. So I bought Brayden's costume last Halloween on clearance....being frugal and all. But didn't realize he would grow so much....poor kid had a wedgie everytime he bent over. We didn't open it until it was too late to go get another one. Oh well he was still cute!

Can you see Wesley? He was totally the same color as the grass...so funny!

He was so cute in this little fuzzy costume.

Lindsey of course wanted to be a princess. Thanks to pinterest we have lots of good ideas for hair. She asks me to do an "up dude" like everyday now.

We made Hailey's costume this year. Doesn't she make a cute little witch. They had a daddy daughter date for Activity days so we had to do something fun.

I didn't make this cute little bag, but it went perfect with her costume.

I know, we went all out for Sterlings costume...we are just not that into Halloween at our age. He made a cool hippy dude anyway.

Two old shirts = one cute skirt

I had these two shirts that I thought were cute, but hit me right at the hips...not a good place for any shirt to hit. I had them in the D.I. box, but thanks to pinterest and the inspiration to upcycle I decided to make a skirt out of them for Lindsey. She is always game for a new skirt and I am always game for a project.

How cute is that....the skirt and my cutie who is such a little Diva. We took like 20 other pictures of her working the camera and every angle. Love her!

Before and After

I love to look at before and after shots of any makeover and now I have my own. I have to admit that I am quite embarassed by the before shots though. My bedroom was somewhat put together before we got a new bed. When you go from a queen size bed to a king it is like starting from scratch. So that is what happened. So these before shots are of a pitiful bedroom with nothing that matches, the pictures are off center and it is just all in all SAD. So, I had a great idea to build a headboard. And if you are going to build a headboard why not add bookshelves. My trusting husband let me plan this all out and spend money on all the supplies not really knowing what I had in mind.....I am glad he trusts me. We had a few moments when we were building that this could look pretty bad but it all came together and I just want to hang out in my room all the time now. He thinks it is a good reason to get that flat screen he has been wanting....we all know that is what he is thinking about when I say spend more time in the bedroom hu? Maybe that is more then you want to think about....oh well on to the pictures. Remember, I know the befores are sad but hopefully that makes the after look better.

The only king size blanket we had....

A really pitiful nightstand....

And Ta Da....we have a headboard and bookshelves.

Yeah for a put together matching bedroom.

We put up some trim that added some nice detail.

I just love building stuff....now on to the next project.
